Cleaning for Winter and Celebrating!

We've been lucky this fall, it's been unseasonably warm which is nice for the fall garden, but you know the cold and snow are coming.  Well next week seems to be the week for at least cooler temperatures, so I took the last of the warm days to get my outside spaces buttoned up for winter.

The deck cushions are up away in the barn except for one so I can make new covers over winter, and the deck got a good scrub.

The front flower beds got cleaned up and weeded as well.

The terra cotta got stored in the garage along with my St. Francis statue (patron saint of plants and animals).

17 bulbs of garlic got planted.  A little late, but hopefully a good snowy winter in the ground, and we'll see them in spring.

Last but certainly not least the patio below the deck saw all cushions put away, table and chairs pushed up near the house for a little extra protection and ease of shoveling!

Celebrating my third favorite man's 70th birthday!  Happy birthday dad. Looking forward to the celebration!  And of coarse he still looks this young!
