We've been working on updating our builder half bath for sometime now, and I know what you're thinking, that's probably the smallest, easiest, most cost effective room to update right? Well, it's taken me some time, and I do keep changing my mind on what exactly is going in there, so maybe there is some excuse. For this addition we took an old broken chair, and turned it into a unique and creative towel bar.
This chair's seat was broken and really not fixable to ever have someone sit on it again, so we decided to re-purpose it and give it a new life.
I decided on a depth I wanted for our small "shelf" on top, took a circular saw, and cut it as desired. Then we needed to use some wood glue and a clamp to keep the shelf together because of the break in the chair, and let dry.
Dry and ready to be attached. I found the studs in the wall, and attached it with two screws to the wall.
On a salvage note, we found this old medicine cabinet mirror at one of the local salvage shops we frequent. Took down the builder grade oval mirror, and added this in it's place, and it also adds another bit of character to this half bath.
They look good together don't they!! Can't wait to show you more as we get this room finished.
