Last week we started a serious upgrade of our organization in the artisan/work studio. This week we continue all things organizing by adding much needed storage to this space, while we have created different shelving units using salvaged 2 x 12's or 2 x 6's on a couple of occasions here on the blog, these particular storage units combined both designs.
We made one shelf unit for our music room that was to this size and scale, and we added an old window frame to other unit to organize a basement bath, but these combined the use of the window and the size to add loads of storage for our work studio. We also added a few custom features.
Our first change was to add a toe kick underneath to allow the window to swing easily without getting bound up on the carpet.
We painted the shelves with chalk paint so we could write what goes where on the shelves to keep us good and organized.
And we now have a permeant home for all things silhouette
We are well on our way to creating a one of kind work studio, we have one more project up our sleeve before we give you a tour of the whole finished space. Stay tuned!
